Default AFE CAI >>>.

for those who have the AFE stage II CAI.......

I'm not sure about the 06 but, my 07 has the mass air sensor just out side of the air box in the tube.

Does the AFE tube have a location to mount he MAPP ? If not, what do you do with it... drill and tap ?

I could be wrong but I believe what's on mine is an air temp sensor. a mass air sensor would sample the entire intake tube air flow and would be round with a wire center of some sort. do you have a pic?

I assume what's on my tube is a mass air sensor.... I could be wrong. In looking at pictures of the AFE
I couldn't really tell if it came set up to accept the stock sensor.

I imgine if it didn't one could be drilled and tapped in but, apparently it's very important to have it in the correct
location to avoid trouble codes.

here's a pic of the sensor mounted in a tube......

Just looked in the FSM and it is an air temp sensor & a pressure sensor combo. (page 5972)
