Yeah, the intake should be fine. I'm tryin to remember if there is really a gasket at all..... Im thinkin the last i had one off (not all that long ago[:@]) the grid heater block was a soft material that sealed itself to the alum. intake. At this hour I might be full of it, but its really not a problem. If you discover it does leak, It certainly wont keep the truck from running.

I like helpin where I can when someone's interested. Much more satisfying than the mundane stupidity I get from the union operators (read: "I dont get paid to be a machanic") and stubborn old farmers I see at work....

Dont thank me, thank Rudolph. (and Clessie!)

Looking at your other pics I was curious. What's with the pegged gauges and the "hit the wall" shot?

There's GOT to be a funny story behind those !!

Never looked at it like that before... "the wall" must be the one with walmart in the background? The parking spot was premium but too short for the truck so I put the front on the flower bed. It was winter, I didnt think it would matter. Wifey didnt think it was bery funny...

I like that gauge shot. Took a couple of tries to get that one right.[sm=coolness.gif]

Thats not my Baker, BTW, but I like that engine, its a hoss. the guy n the ground is my uncle, he's got a slightly smaller Nichols & Sheppard, but it hasnt been fired for a few years. I keep gettin on him about that...
