Default Thanks to all the Forum regulars

I just had to say thanks to all the fourm regulars for all the advice and willingness to share thier knoledge. I had an eventfull thanksgiving. The clutch went out on my ram 1500 gasser on the way home from work on tuesday. I had to shut the truck off at each red light to get it into first and then start it in gear to get it going then rpm shif to the next light. finnaly the perfect excuse to pick up the CTD. went to the credit union fleet guy on wednesday and down to the dealer on friday. I got a Mega Cab 2500 slt 2X4 had them add the Jacobs break and a rear seat dvd at the dealership. thanks to the advice i found here i have to explain the manual high idle. FYI the horn alarm when you back up was not enabled so i wont mention that little item to them.

to make a long story short, Thanks to Drew Steve and all the otheres i have read advice from or had questions answered by. and Yes Mayfair i will try and get some pics up when i get home today.

I drove for about 60 miles without the brew and then to work today with the brew. I noticed the diffrence right away. to me it seamed like there was less rocker arm clatter. I cant wait untill i hit 500 miles to open her up. by the way in the owners manual it said after 500 miles to load it down or pull heave loads for the first 6000 miles to truly break them in right.

LOL .... get crackin !! LOL !!

The funniest part of this story was the excuse. " Ahhh, I blew my clutch, so I bought a new Ram " LOL !! That's awesome !! It's OK, we understand that some folks will resort to just about any kind of Jedi mind trick in order to convince themselves to make the leap.

Welcoma aboard dtb !!

Yes do load it up and go. If you can run it as far and as long as you can non stop is also good for it. You don't have to go 30 or so hours like I did but if you can do a 10-12 hour drive your CTD will love you for it.

Enjoy your new ride.
