Got my areo turbine today, where do I install?
I just looked at my AERO.
I installed it backwards. What a Tard I am.
But the guy that had it before me installed it the same way.
damn it!

I don't know if they're all the same, but assuming that they are, the rings go towards the back. Check out your instruction sheet.
Don't be so hard on yourself. Apparently it happens all the time. It happened to ME !! If you look at my Aero, you'll see a short pipe before and after it. That's because the guy's installed it backwards. Because they had to swicth it around, the welds had to be cut out, thus making the pipe shorter. If it wasn't for the guy's at Aero telling my exhuat guy's to switch it around, I would have been screwed. The muffler guy wanted to charge me again for turning it around. Things were getting ugly FAST, but cooler heads prevailed and things got fixed before I had to popa cap in his a$$.

Thinking more .... that's probably why you didn't notice a difference when you took your silencer ring out too.
Switch it around.
The Aero guy told me that it'll do more harm than good if I would have left it that way ( backwards ).

well I guess that answers that. Hopefully I can get the pipe off without cutting it off. Im going to stop by NAPA and see what kind of clamps they have. They said they had TORCTIE ones like the two that i had gotten. so we'll see
clamp it. But I only had 2 torctite clamps and I needed 1 more clamp so I reused the stock c-clamp style which usually bends the pipe and makes it impossible th remove the pipes without cutting them.

Steve you are cornfusing
replace the cat with the AERO and leave the muffler? Dont you mean leave the cat and replace the muffler with the AERO then eventually get a straight through cat like a Magnflow?

loose the cat and replace it with the aero. keep the cat in the garage in case you ever need it. I also recommend going to a straight true muffler to replace the stocker. the 2 mufflers on there have proven to be an awesome setup. I Cant comment on the aero by itself though... someone else will have to chime in on that.

did you run your truck with the stock muffler for any amount of time after you installed the aero and could you compare your MPG against running with the 30" magnaflow.
