ok, so I may be picking up a cheep nikon today for $75 bux... should hold me over until I get the d200 so I'll have pics of the install.
Now don't let Mayfair stop you from getting the camera that you really want. I would sure like to have one of them Digital Nikons SLR/SRL(sp?) but it's hard to ask the other half to spend $900.00 for it.

I try not to do "cheep", usually in the end you wind up paying more.
I agree with you 1000%, but I'd much rather have a grainy picture than no picture at all. YES, get yourself the cheap Nikon for $75.00. The camera I take my pics with is a 4.1 megapix Sony camera that I don't think I spent more than $150.00 on 3 years ago. I've taken HUNDREDS of pics with it that I never would have taken with a million dollar camera simply because I'd be afraid to loose / damage the expensive one. Take for example some of the under the truck or in the engine compartment shots that I've taken. I wouldn't want to damage an expensive camera dragging it under the truck, and a big fat expensive camera might not fit inside of some of the spots that I've taken my Sony.

Like I said before, I agree with you 1000%, but sometimes less is more.

I got a semi cheep camera for one of my kids, 1 year and it's got problems (eats batteries pretty quick).
It's a HP isn't it? They have a bad rep. I'd recomend a Sony similar to the one I got. They're inexpensive, pretty good, and they come with rechargable batteries and a charger.
