That's a nice looking truck. I have about 25 days left on a carfax unlimited search subscription. If you want me to run the VIN thru carfax I would be happy to see what the report says.
what did you do to the rear axle on your '01?

still a open question about what trim package this is.. this truck is 2 hours away in pa so im not really trying to drive up there and be disappointed.. i've been reading up on it.. and it sounds as though the sport package with the chrome grille is a laramie?
common rail is the recommended choice for big power right?? i know in f-250's you can only put so much power into it before you have to change the entire injection setup
is 23,900 a good price for the truck?? i was thinking of probally getting 9 or 10 for the truck i have now and 22 for this one.. kindof keep the payment down per month. but im excited about it. its fully loaded but i really dont know to much about it.. hoping its a laramie with leather seats.. 6 cd changer and all
if i do get it i'll be coming to this side of dodgeforum hah

Define big power. you can easily swap to around 70 horse injectors, with a tst or a smarty, then go with exhaust and intake and then a bigger turbo, course after the turbo and the injectors and the programmer, you'll probably want to step up to dual cp3 fuel pumps. Now that you got all that going you could add a snow water/methanol injection system and while your tapping into the intake you could also add a nitrous system too.
One of the diesel power mags was building an insane 03 cummins as a daily driver. I believe the #'s were over 1600 ftlbs at the rear wheels. I'll see if I can't find it for ya.

big power is pretty much 500+hp... i've been told its really quick and easy and somewhat cheap to get to 500 hp.. its just getting to 501+ is when it gets expensive. thats when transmissions and engine rebuilds come into play. but with PS's without the common rail.. after around 350 hp the stock fuel rails cant handle it.. thats when you have to spend that money to get them swapped out. 6.0's i beleive have common rail.. also 2000 and down power strokes do.. but my friends 2001 doesnt. pretty much he can get exhaust, intake, a programmer and maybe injectors before he has to really start putting out money to get the engine able to handle more horsepower
Drew can answer your questions more thorough on this performance stuff. I only know what I see, I haven't kept up on the common rail engines because I don't have one. I'm not sure what you mean about the PS's not having a common rail I work for IH and everyone that i've seen as a common rail. They are a low pressure rail at around 50 psi and use high pressure engine oil to get the fuel upto pressure.
