Except the $1700 price tag for each one. Kinda expensive mount for a $900 - 1100 winch.

Man, I use the snot outta that thing. Not so much for off-roading, this truck anyways, but for all kinds of work. That thing is, without a doubt, the handiest tool to have on a truck.

Oh, they are cool lookin'! I was considering one, until I saw that price tag. And that is for a base model one. You start adding light mount's, shackle points, etc, they run well into the 2K mark.

Nice lookin', almost too nice lookin' (and pricey) to use them as a bumper.

It's rated for 9500 lbs.

I was worried that it wouldn't be big enough to pull a full size truck, but it's been more than capable. I had my '04 SD that was on 36" TSL's buried up over the axles and it yanked it right out. I had to double line it, but it had no problems at all.

The entire multi mount setup, including the winch, cradle, 24' rear power cable & 7' front power cable came to about $1300. They have the rear power wire in a 16' and 20', but if you have an extended cab or bigger, you'll want the 24'er.

That has been put on hold for a bit.....

1 - Dodge has 2 working days left to make a final repair on my truck of they have to buy it back or replace it. So I'm not really doing anything until that happens.

2 - The, uhhhhh, honey-do-list has increased exponentially.

I thought I was making out like a demon, with all the new tools she bought me for Christmas......It was all a setup to get me to build her new hutch for the living room.

She's slick, I'll give her that! She was asking me all kinds of stuff to see exactly what I would still need to build her hutch. She damn sure got it right though.

But, she also got me a few tools for working on the toys too. I've been needing a new tap and die set and she got me that too.

Sooooooo, you know how it goes..............If momma ain't happy, nobody's happy.
