NEED HELP ASAP!!!
I just want someone here to confirm for me that there is not a difference from a 2500 Mega to a 3500 Mega Single Axel. I understand that the 2500 is a 3/4 and the 3500 is a 1 ton;my whole questionis that is there a reason why I havent seen that many people online have a 3500 Mega? Is there something
that I dont know about that yall do?
Here is the link to my truck I'm getting on Saturday, if I get an ok from the dodge cummins forum about it being a 3500

Rudy

RE: NEED HELP ASAP!!!
that main difference between the 2500 and the SRW 3500's are the rear leaf springs and the front springs. the front springs are a little bit beefier and the rear leaf spring pack has a few more springs with an overload spring on top, thats it. the engine is the same, trans is the same, axels are the same AAM 9.25 front and 11.5 rear.
the quickest way to tell it is a 3500 is look for the rear helper/overload spring. you'll see it hanging out not doing a darn thing, but it sure does come in handy when loaded
I looked thru the picks and cannot see the rear leafs, but with a 3500 you can tow more than a 2500 just because of the springs.

That's a fine looking truck. Think about what you want to do with it...if you are looking to tow, DRW may be more useful than 4x4. Talk to Mr. Ralph78 about all that. If you are looking for a tough-looking 4x4 truck, then the 3500 doesn't give you any advantage over the 2500, especially with two wheels in the back. Just think about what you are paying for, and whether it's going to serve what you want to do with the truck. My opinion, that's all.
