Default Front Wheel Bearing Greasing

Today I serviced the passengers front wheel bearings. I am posting this message to let everyone know that I am glad that I pulled the bearing apart for servicing. After removing the hub assembly and separating the bearing I found that the bearing had been over heated to the point of discolouring the hub itself, the grease was baked. The bearing rollers where also discoloured. I am expecting this bearing to fail before the other side but I might have bought myself a year or two more out of this damaged bearing. Hopefully this will help someone else out there.

Do the 2500's not have sealed wheel bearings?

What are some signs that the wheel bearings might need to be disassembled and greased?

These where sealed bearings, I had read about how difficult it was to get them apart after a few years so I decided to repack them and apply never sieze compound to make dissasembly a whole lot easier later on. I have also found other equipment/trailers/recreational vehicles from the factory that have had little or no grease in the bearings. I had no indication that anything was wrong with the wheel bearing until I had dissasembled them. Note that the drivers side was fine, the passangers side I had to jump on the flex bar with both feet to break the nut loose, I suspect that it was over-torqued, therefor overheating the bearing.
