well, just got back (today) from the portland trip... had the opportunity to pull up to a genuine biofuel station off I5. $2.93/gallon for b20. filled up from about 1/2 a tank or so... couple of things I notice... maybe someone can confirm some of this from their experiences...

1st up was the motor ran smoother and idled better

2nd was when I filled back up in CA with #2 the idle became rough again...

anyone else experience this?

yeah, found that there is alota crime up there. almost every morning I watched the news and the places I expected low crime were very active... might not mean to much to us as we want to be out of the city anyway. just nice to know whats going on in the areas... we're still a couple of years out before we move anyway so things may change between now and then. we did cover alot of gound, took in a hockey game on new years, drove 1/2 the coast on the way back. had a great time. missed Louie though (the dog)... he was such a crack up when we got home... Kolleen and I were about 6 feet apart and he kept going back & forth between us... he was so happy to see us he didnt know what to do.

Well at least like you say you know whats going on so nothing will be a shock. We are driving to San Diego on Sat, I can't wait to see the ocean again. The kids have never seen it, it should be fun...I only wish it was warmer [8D]

 

I'm suprised it's not... should be alot nicer than portland though... we saw low 40's for the highs and low 30's for the lows...

 

Are you trying to make me rethink this trip? if so its working, I hate cold weather...if it hits 70 Im freezing, youd never know Iam from Colorado!

 

San Diego should be nice... if not, give it a day or two and it will be...

 

sounds about normal from what I hear about Bio.

55F this morning. . .this aint winter. . .we should be in the 30's right now, guess old man winter's holding out on us in the south.

 

The bio fuel acts as a natural lubricant so in return it makes the engine run smoother. Did your exhaust smell like french fries while burning it. Even with the B20 it should have had some effect on your gas milage.

 

Dang. If we start burning Bioour trucks will smell like McDonalds. Then we will have to deal with the line of fat kids running after us like we are the Ice Cream man.
