so i came home today after work and i noticed water dripping from under my truck so i popped the hood to investigate. on the passangers side comming out of the fire wall there is a hard (possibly metal) pipe/tube. and a good amount of water was comming out of it. it wasnt like a garden hose or anything it was just a nice slow steady stream/drip and it was cold. i didnt have the a/c on at all and its january and it was 66 degrees out today here in CT. what on earth is this water? and where did it come from?
I had a similar problem. I had a hose leaking under the turbo. It was easier to see from the passanger side wheel well. All I had to do was tighten a hose clamp and add some coolant. I hope that helps.
If you were running the defog on the heater it still causes the A/C compressor to run to dry out the air eliminating the fog on the windows. It was probably just condensate.
Fill out your signature so we know what options you have. If you have the climate control option it will cycle the A/C in just about every mode. Like was said already if you were running the defrost that cycles the A/C too.
yes i had it in the defog mode so thats all it was then. i figguured it was condensation but i didnt have the **** on a/c so i didnt know what was goin on. thanks guys
On all of the newer vehicals the ac will run when the heater is on. They use the ac to dry the air first to help stop the windows from fogging your leak my be normal condinsation
