Default SWITCH LOCATION?

On my 2004 6spd CTD my back up lights flutter, can anybody tell me if the switch is internal or on the shifter. Id kinda like to know before I start rippen it apart. Somtimes they work , most of the time they dont.[sm=confused06.gif]

Go to the the CTD FAQ and find the Merry christmas thread... there is a link to the FSM's, IIRC there is one for the '06. you should be able to find your info there.

it is internal on the G56.

you might also want to check the leads from the trany and make sure they are making good contact.
