RE: window tint
AS ratings. Look on the bottom right corner of your windows. There is a bunch of numbers to look at. at the end of it it will read AS1, AS2, or AS3. The AS rating has to do with the amount of tint in the window already. all windows have some tint in them. AS1 is like 90%, AS2 is like 70% and AS3 is like 40 or 50%. I only say this to you becuase if you tint an AS2 rated window to 35% it will actually be darker than 35% becuase of the tint in the window already. Do a search on the internet on AS ratings as I'm not completely sure on the tint percentages for each AS rating. Just a little food for thought.

And if you get pulled over the cop will probably get a razor blade and slice the tint, that way when you roll down or up the window it will peel off. If you are really desperate the do it your self if the ticket is going to be worth more that what you payed to get it tited. My tinter told me that tip during the tinting process.

I tinted my 88 dak myself. I did the side windows 5% and the back is factory 20% plus I put 5% over thatIt's illegal but the cops around here don't do anything. and at night I cant see anything! I have to open up the window when I'm backing up. I like it during he day cause it keeps the sun out of it.
heres some pics.

RE: window tint
If I remember correctly, the shop that did mine said the sides were 25% and the back was some weird percent like 17%
All I had done was the front doors and left the rest as they are.
I had a shop do mine so I knew it would be done right the first time.
Cost about 100 bucks and took about half an hour.
