This site will give a guideline for what is legal in different states.
http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Law_Chart/S...rt%2012-06.pdf
Personally, I went with 35% on the front doors and it is about half as dark as the rears.
Had it done for about a year and no hassles.
Hope this helps.

Yes, Have a pro do it for you.

I have helped on 10 installs and have just started getting good at helping. Doing it is a lot harder.

Also the tint you buy at walmart will look bad in a year or two, I have had pro tint on one car 6 years and it still looks great. Well worth the cost.

Here is a pic or two of 35% front and 5% rear..

Thie first pic you can compare front window to windshield... Not very dark...

The second you can see the rear compared to drivers window open! its pretty dark... Especially when backing up at night!

On my last truck i had 5% in the back and 25 in the front. It was great except at night, could not see a damn thing. The side windows it is great in the back, but dont go that dark on the rear window. One plus is that the tint kept us from getting cut real bad by the glass in our accident. It kept it all together. The fronts in this truck i have 30% and that is dark enough but not to dark. You can see in but it keeps the sun out. I didnt tint the rear window at all, i just have the headache rack on it.

Looking outside from inside the truck.

A pic from the outside tryign to look in.

The stock doesnt have a tint if I am not mistaking. It is a smoke inbetween the glass if i am not mistaking. I know the fords were like that and i think the dodges are as well. dont tint thewindsheild 25. 20 is illegal and i dont think that a honorable shop will tint it for you.
