you should have no problem... that is a 34" tire... some guys run 305/75-17's and they rub just a slight amount... an inch shorter should give you plenty of room.

I am running 305/70/17 Goodyear MTR's on the stock rims on my '06 2500 Quad Cab 4x4. Makes the truck look great! Lookout for a 3-4 MPG decrease though...

search on craigslist for hummer tires... they have BFG's taken off for tire/rim upgrades on there.

Teeminus are you sure about the drop? Having larger tires affects the speedo and odometer. It shows a lesser distance while you actually go further. Time yourself on the highway between mile markers at 60 mph- if the speedo is on it will take 1 minute. If it takes less then that you are going faster than 60(distance traveled longer than a mile) although the speedo says 60. When I switched the tires on my Jeep (without changing the input gear on the t-case) from 215/75 to 31/10.50 my speedo droped about 5 mph and I was recording 90 miles on a 100 mile trip.

I run 305/70- -16s on stock rims. Certainly the max you want to do. Tire guys told be to run with just a little bit less air pressure because of the width of the tire to the wheel. I do get just a bit of rub.

Regards, Glenn

Here's a good calculator-http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?action=submit

I was thinking of upgrading to 20" wheels with 33" tires. Are there any drawbacks to this? 2006 2500 megacab

I dropped 3 mpg going to 35-12.50-17 on my stock rims. Just a little rub at full turn. 2005 3500 4x4 Quad Cab

Might also wanna consider 295/75/17. Same height (actually slightly taller), but will fit the rim better. You're talking a 11.5" wide tire (295) compared to a 12.5" (305)

305 is a bit wide for the stock rims. Most of the manufacturers recommend at least an 8.5" wide rim for that width.
