funny you say that I was just talking to the fleet mechanic at my work he was saying the same thing. And after watching my buddy with his 2003 6.0 powerstroked I kinda feel the same

 

Well don't fell like you are alone. Yep it just happed to me. The past two days my truck has been hard to start. Seemed like the batteries were low. I said well its just cold.Well I got in it tonight to go to town and it wound not start. The RPM and MPHgauge was going crazy. I said dare it I must have left my lights on and ran the battery down.nope. So by this time I get the cables and jump it off and she fires up no problem. I let it run for 5 min or so and off to town I go. The small engine light came on so I get my programmer out and plug it up. It said P2509- Low voltage ECM. So I cleared it. It came back on along with the check your gages light. I plugged back in and it had two codes. The same with the P2509 and a code saying Alt low voltage. I went back to the house and took my program out and cleared the codes again. Started the truck with no problem and let run for 30 min or so.Iwent on line and got the new update for my triple dogand went back to the truck. It had no codes or lights ect. Everthing seemed to be fine. I reinstalled the new program and ran the truck down the road with no problems. It seems to be on know but I'm just waiting for it to happen again. If it does I will remove the program and reinstall the stock program with out clearing the codes. Then its going to the Dodge place.

 

Now that I have had the truck back a few days with the new ECM. I have had no problems!!! knock on wood......
One thing that is different is my fuel mileage is alot better. I'm just going by the overhead reading but WOW at 80 mph on the highway I am getting 22 plus mpg and driving in town I am getting 18 mpg or more I will calculate it buy hand next fill up to see where it really is.

 

I had the check engine light come on with only 500 miles on the OD. Dealer said it was a "fantom code"? They would not tell me what exactly it was. They reflashed the ECM and said that they have had to reflach approx. 15 06's. I'm at 1,200 miles now and everything seems OK (knock on wood).
