Default when you have lots of HP........

not that my truck will be near as powerful as some of the built trucks here but, I haven't seen too much said about " motor mounts "

Do the factory mounts hold up to lots of torque ? Are they a weak point in the motor ?

I also haven't seen a lot about transfer cases. Do they require upgrading along with the typical upgrade for the tranny when producing high HP ?

I am doing almost 420 to the rear and my mounts look SOLID. They are pretty hefty. Good question though. I'm curious myself.

Good luck with your ride.

The last part of the driveline that you'll ever need to worry about is that t-case.

That puppy is enormous.

I can't rememebr off hand, but these things are rated for some un-godly amount of lb/ft.

Let me peek around, I know I saw a rediculously high number for those.

I havent heard of any need to upgrade the transfer case... not sure what you'd do to it either.

Here ya go, I knew it was something ignorant

It'll handle 7,890 lb/ft of input torque and is good for vehicles with up to a 17,500 lb GVWR.

Uhhh, yeah....no breakage there.

Wow! that's a lotta handling ! It a shame the trans can't be built that way from the factory.

Nothing about motor mount though ? maybe even trans mounts. I know I down shift for to high a speed in my 1500 one time and snapped the mount like a twig.

Maybe the fact it's hard to find ( hold up info ) on the mounts means they're pretty stout too??

Considering that I don't think anybody here has heard of anybody snapping a motor mount on one of these, I would say it's a safe bet that their fairly stout.

Really the only thing to upgrade in t-case is the actual gear set to get a lower range.

I replaced the gears in my Samurai t-case, down to a 4.3:1. Then I stipped the front output shaft, so that got replaced with a billet piece. All Four Cylinders Of Fury pushing 66 HP baby. Enought to scrare even the mightiest of hamsters and chipmunks.
