too bad they don't up the compression some more so you don't even need a grid heater. Some of the older rigshave anether start system[&:].

I was told that if you do not get the engine warm between trips like 160 degrees or so, that you could varnish the cylinder walls. I'm not sure what that does I believe I read it in my owners manual for my 98.5 but not sure i have not come across that in my 2006 owners manual

Yes short drives under 10 miles with out the engine being at full operating temps is hard on the engine oil along with a lot of stop and go driving. Its one of the main reasons to change oil sooner then 7500 miles but you do that anyway IIRC. It should be stated in your owners manual if you have one!

Yeah, I change mine every 5000 miles. Hopefully thats OK. Living in the city I kinda DO do a lot of "light to light" driving. I sure as heck don't have those looooooong sprawling drives through the cornfields ( or watermelon fields ... lol ) like some of you do.

I don't recall seeing Buba any where around the state of IA so I'm sure they don't live here in IA. I do think they may live a state or two west, east or south of us just, ask your nearest Buba
