Default First Oil Analysis Report

Bought this truck used with 39,000 miles. I was told that the oil had been changed every 5,000 miles using AMSOIL with that last change at 35,000 miles. I took an oil sample through the dipstick at 40,300 miles. Well it looks like the previous owner may have missed an oil change...[:'(] TBN is still good, but due to high wear readings, I'm going to change the oil now. Here is the report for those interested.

I had the same problem when I recently purchased my used 2005 Dodge Ram with the cummins engine. I did three oil changes in 3k miles and it was still black. I would recomend taking it to a shop and getting them to do a hot oil flush, it is well worth the $60.00 that they charge to do it. Then run it another 3k miles and change the oil again. I have just done this but I did not take an oil analysis because I'm not sure what the chemicals in the hot oil flush would do to the analysis. I am going to have the engine oil analysis done on the next oil change. Hope this helps.

My oil turns dark pretty fast if Im hauling regular, thats normal. This is my off season so Im not working the truck, The oil will look fresh when I change it. Dark is normal if your pullling or kikin it around regular.

Yeah, every once in a while she won't rub it in right away and it'll run off of my arm too ...

Things start G rated. Where they escalate to would not be proper to discuss on this forum..
