RE: What to do?
I'm with State Farm; have been for years.
Full coverage, no accidents
$500 deductable
Glass & rental coverage
I'm trying to remember off hand...3 vehicles, 2 ATV's, 1 HD, & homeowners comes out to around $168 per month with full coverage on everything.
Heck, my little Focus costs more for insurance than my truck.

RE: What to do?
I have been told that Dodges are higher on insurance because of the price of replacement parts. There are more companies that produce aftermarket OEM replacements for Chevy and Ford than for Dodge, which makes the parts harder to find and more expensive to replace when you get into a wreck......
but, look at it this way...... you have a dodge, keep the hitch on the rear, that will be good enough cheap insurance to make sure you don't have to replace parts so much when people do this.....
go here for the rest of the pics... and NO, the kid never touched my bumper, he had to be towed away due to the ruptured radiator

RE: What to do?
Being that me and my wife are both in the military, I went through USAA and got full coverage on my 06 CTD, and my wifes 06 Honda Accord witha $500 decuctable, for $1620 a year. When I had my '97 Z71, I payed $85 per month for full coverage with a $250deductable. That was a few years ago though .

RE: What to do?
I pay $1074. with $250 deductible. Also I carry 100/300,000 Liability and the same amount for Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists. Yes I could get by with less liability coverage then 100/300 but being I own a home I will in no way carry less as it does cost a lot of $$$$ if someone gets hurt in a wreck.
One reason all insurance is so high is here in the upper midwest is that they get a lot of hail storms and the insurance companies do have to pay out a lot of $$ on claims for hail damage to cars and houses. If it was not for Liberty Mutual giving me a big break becasue I have my house car and truck insured with them and my wifes high education I would be paying and extra $1,400 a year just on my truck. I also pay $798.00 a year for my wifes 2006 Sebring with the same coverage as my truck.
What I hate the most about living where I do is having to pay $80.00 a year for license tags and my truck when I use to only pay $155.00 for 4 years when I lived in Oregon [:@]

RE: What to do?
I hear ya mayfair but my parents carry full coverage just about to the max you can get with everything for insured and underinsured. they just told nationwide they could get if for less somewhere else and showed quotes from a cheaper company i belive they used Geico (which we weren't goin to switch to but it was a good bargaining chip). and Nationwide rewrote the policy at a different price.
