Default 06 Ram Seats revisited

Ok, So I have said how the seats hurt, with the seat rails digging into my legs. I cant take it any more. Can anyone offer any ideas to fix this or recommend an aftermarket seat? I love the truck but the pain Is starting to bother me. Please help

I used to do interior work and adding more padding to a seat is no problem. Just take it to an upholstery shop and it should not cost that much to do the job. $100.00 bucks a seat is a fair price since there wont be any stitching involved. They will have to pull the cover and add 1 or 2 inch foam to the cushion. Make sure they use the good stuff or it will flattten out fast. Good luck.

I have to agree with you as I'm up their with you and I've not had any problems from or with mine. In fact I have sat in my seat for over 10 hours driving non stop with out a problem.

For me, I'm 6'3" and 280 and they don't hurt me a bit. But, I can feel the bars that he's talking about and can see where they might be uncomfortable to some people. Definately doesn't seem like the best designed seats I've ever seen.

Ram is a 95' and I am 305lbs. My seats are very comfortable. Even for 13 years of haulin this a**.

I can say that the bottom cushion may need to be Fabreezed more often..........

Good luck with your ride.

Really ??

Do you think they could un-do the cover, re-pad it, and use the same cover again? Perhaps use that memory foam huh?

My seat is kinda crushing on the left side. I'm told it's kinda common on my Ram. I'd like to have it fixed, but I don'twanna spend a fortune on it.

Its not a big deal to take the seat out and fix the foam yourself . All you need is commmon hand tools and a few hogrings and foam and your good to go. If the seat cover is a little tight after you pad it up, just spray the foam lightly with silicone spray and it will slide much easier. Or any upholstery shop will do it pretty reasonable since there wont be any stiching. It only takes about an hour of labor to do the job. I added more lumbar support to my 2000CTD and man it made a world of difference on the long hauls. Also when you take the seat out its a good time to clean the carpet. and find all the spare change you lost!!!

Mayfair just have your girl friend take some foam and sew a cover over it, put it under your ***, that's the easiest way to do it.

I tried stuffing some foam over the bars, but can still feel them. My next step is to talk to an upholstering shop. I guess they changed the seats in 04 from what i hear
