My Father-in-Law has an 05 duromax and I just sent him the vid......Doesn't matter what make it is, he shouldn't be having problems that he's having. I wonder if Chevy made it right?
I love at the beginning where he's saying:
"It's just an old Dodge diesel up there, this D-Max should be a superior product."
Heh, heh, heh....we know the truth.

Anybody have any idea why his RPM's were so high he was practically redlinging. I'm guessing that had to be part of the problem.

Couple of things with this guy...
1 - He has that U-Haul truck on the trailer COMPLETELY wrong. He has that big, flat back end facing forward, just adding to the stress and the heaviest part is behind the trailer axles. Plus, we have no idea if the truck is wmpty or loaded to the hilt. Strike 1
2 - He has the RPM's pegged doing 60 MPH. Only 2 reasons that is happening. 1 - He has the tranny locked out of OD or even a lower gear or 2 the TC is slipping, which would also be causing the tranny temp's to soar. Strike 2
3 - The guy is comparing apples to oranges. You don't know it the other truck is stock, is auto or man, has exhaust mods, etc. Unless he is comparing similar to similar you can't say crap. Just because he's mad because he can't keep up with another is irrelevant. Strike 3
Obviously, something sn;t right with that truck, but to me, the guy doesn't know how to run his truck, doesn't know how to tow, and is crying because he fell for the advertising hype that he would be able to tow a grade, doing 90MPH, in 100* weather.
Just a couple of bells that went off to me. And gods knows I've had my share of truck issues, but this guy seems like he's sticking himself in the butt.

Yea I was lookin at his RPM's thinking wtf. I'm guessing he has a programmer or something since he had tht laptop next to him and was talkin about defueling. Probably he was locked out of OD because of tranny temp. In all honesty who keeps towing with a truck that is overheating??
