Default Reasonable Price and Timing for New Buy

Alrighty, test drove a 2006 4X4, QC CTD the other day and fell in love. Definitely, this is the ride I want.
Now, prices? I have a lot of experience buying used/new vehicels (cars, bikes, you name it). I'm in the finance profession so getting the right loan, terms, etc, are not an issue and I don't fall for the "what do you want your paymenets to be" crap. I sold my current ride, so no trade-in for me.
In the past, I have had a lot of great luck with the newspaper ad, the loss leaders. I've received a few quotes directly from internet/fleet managers. What else am I missing? Any tips to offer? My best quote today was $35K, for 2007 4x4, MSRP $42,795. I think that's pretty good, but I think I can get better. I'd like to get around $10K off MSRP. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks!

Just got my 07 for $33K. Thats as low as they could go apparently. Anyways, a lot of it depends on the incentives being ran at the time. Good luck but $35K sounds like a deal.

I bought an 07 right before christmas
Sticker: 44695
Paid: 35241 after rebates.
I went on Dodges websight, filled out my ideal truck and asked for a dealer quote. About a week later I got a cupon from Dodge for an extra 1000 rebate. Give it a try!

51K MSRP is for a FULLY loaded 07 2500/3500. I have the 3500 with a laramie package i'm only lacking the sunroof.... it's was out the door for 42K. I really don't think you'll find a much lower price unless you go with the SLT package

Although you are looking at a QC which likely will lower the cost.

I was more interested in the 12K of MSRP. That's sounds good to me.

it all depends on how willing the dealer is to negotiate the price. . .one day they could be all stuck up. . .but the next they could be on cloud 9 with you walking out the door thinking you just stole something
