have you checked the codes yourself ? I'm curious as to what the code is. I may be wrong but, I don't see how there could be a battery " temp " code. The batteries don't have a temp probe. I've seen battery voltage codes.

all you need to do is stick to key in and turn it on and off three times without starting the motor within I believe 10 seconds. Watch the odometer window and it will start to list any codes in your computer. Write it or them down and post back.
Someone should be able to give you an idea about what's going on.

I actually remember Drew mentioning that code before. I don't remember the entire gist of it, but that code does exist. Hopefully someone else here will remember it.

Also fill in your sig file so we all know what year truck, model and what trans you have. Several of us here have a list of what each code means so post it so one of us can tell you what it means.

Ahh yes, the infamous batt temp sensor....

Have you been plugging the truck in? If yes, here's your problem. If no, it may just be a bad sensor (this is a known issue).

1 - It's needs to be flashed and / or have that sensor replaced.

2 - The reason it comes on is the TIPCM sees a different of more than 2.6 degrees between your coolant temp, batt temp and air intake temp. This causes the CEL to come one. The flash is suppossed to address this.

3 - On mine, they replaced all three of those sensors, the entire wiring harness and the TIPCM (mine wouldn't hold the flash for more than a few days and would then revert back).

This has aparrently been an issue and DC is aware of it.
