I also asked if they could disable the horn blown in reverse with door open option , and they said they could not.

 

what a rip-off. . . .you can get the fuel filter from geno's for $10, and the oil filter for around $14.

I figured they couldnt remove the reverse backup. . .but it was a shot

 

I forgot to mention that that is in Canadian funds, but yes I thought it was a rip also, but I did want my high idle feature turned on.
And I will be doing all my own from now on, that way ensuring that everything IS done, IE the front drive shaft fitting .

I don't allow anyone but myself to change oil on my pickup. My father has had to much **** go almost wrong, one oil filter just about fell off the next time he changed it and he has had a few oil pan plugs stripd.[:@] Its not just cheaper but safer, it falls off its your fault and you dont have to chase after anyone else.

 

So if I added it up right they charged you $94.95 for your oil change? Heck I see Dodge send out flyers for a LOF on a diesel for $39.95 + tax. Yes I will say that is a rip off as you can buy Amsoil 15w40 retail for $25.70 a gallon and as Drew said Genos has a good price on both filters. Now in the winter time I do have the dealer install my oil and filter and I have them lube the front U-joint and they only charge me $12.84 with tax.

Now $15.80 was a good price for the high idle set up even though some say they get it done for free. I know mine did not do it for free and it was 2x more then what it cost you.

 

What does the high idle do?

 

Just what it sounds like, You can turn on your cruise , and the speed up the engine while sitting in Park , I thought that is was governed at 1200rpm, but when testing mine , I took it up past 1500.

This is better for your engine, then just letting it idle.

I was wondering where you've been King. I thought that maybe you were off on another one of your cross country excursions.

 

We went for another cruise, in Jan, then I got real sick with the flue, for 2 1/2 weeks, even ended up in the hospital for 1/2 a day, then another cruise, and we just got back from that one, on the week end, one more cruise this winter in two weeks , then atv fun time, all over Ontario begins.
