Default Looking for member that is Cummings mechanic??

A while back one of the members stated that he was being cross trained on Cummings and he was given a STAR Scan tool. He was helping usto figure out how to calibrate speedo's on the 06' auto when bigger tires were put on. If anyone remembers the members name or remembers the thread please advise. I gone through all the threads like 3 timesdating back to the start of the year and Icant find it.

Anyway, the original concsensus was that 06 auto's could not be calibrated because the tires sizes in the STAR Scan were pre-programmed only up to 285 and the revs per mile option only worked on 05's and earlier.

Well I recently heard that if you go into the ABS menu option in the STAR Scan, thespeedo can be recalibrated for bigger tires.

This may or may not be true but I would like to know. I thought I would post the question here since we have a member that has personal access to the STAR Scan.

I am not giving up my quest to get my speedo calibrated without having to spend money for a programmer.......There are still severalof us in the same boat.........

I have the Eclipse AVN 5435 head-unit. The back-up camera is a built-in function of the head unit. I have a camera mounted license plate frame holder. So the camera is attached to that. From there it is wired to the head unit. So I hit a button and I can see behind. It is very nice when backing the truck up to the boat.

Costco also sell a wireless back-up camera kit for $89.00 that I recently bought. I am going to hook that up to the back of the boat, so I can see behind when I am backing the boat.

Is it good to have the camera underwater? IF you were are extreme backeruper then you would not need a camera on the boat . Im just messing with ya man. lol. Anyways, where did you get your train horns? And are they attached to your regular horn, or on an aux. switch?

I got the train horns from the Line-X dealer that did my bedliner. I think I paid $175.00. The horns came with a complete kit compressor&tank...except the button to activate. I picked that up from a hardware store for about $5.00.

The install was pretty easy
