Whats worse is when you try to shut it off, but the turbo timer keeps the truck idiling until it cools off. Then they think you are just being an Ahole.

 

i also enjoy watching them put their entire upper body out the window and reach up as high as they can to hand it to me in my 4x4. it sits very high and the local drive thru's in NY sit fairly low. very rewarding. you sit pretty high up there. yes, i do.

FYI: I have run out of diesel several times in my 01 CTD, from changing filters, lift pumps and just plain ran it dry. Each time it was hard to start afterwards but I never had to crack the injector lines to get it started.

 

Speaking of drive thru's. I have an 07 5.9which is much quieter than my brothers 99, but I was at BK the other day and they told me to shut it down. Without hesitating, I just said "That's ok, I'll just yell louder" LOL. In retrospect that probably wasn't a good thing to say based on the people that usually work there.
