Like I said, I can't say from experience, but I know I've never had a problem on well maintained vehicle that was related to a lubricant that was at the proper level and drain intervals. Just my .02, I guess.

Any thoughts on trans fluid and rear oil other than Amsoil? I'm not quite 100% sold on syth oils yet.

47RE and 48RE automatics cost so much to rebuild
why take a chance on anything but
the new synthetic Type 9602 ATF (aka +4) ?
The Lucas and Amsoil have not done thru the 100,000s miles of testing that the 9602 was put through by Chrysler engineers, after being developed by Lubrizol, which also was chosen by GM to develop their latest synthetic ATF.

If you have to put in an additive
stick with the Lubegard
which Saab, BMW, etc

RE: Lucas in trans and rear ??
Hank L, You do know that Amsoil Universal ATF trans fluid surpasses the specifications of ATF+4 fluid even if they didn’t do some so called 100,000s miles of testing. I would trust any Amsoil or Redline 100% synthetic fluids before I would trust whatever fluid Dodge happen to use. In fact I do believe that all oil related products that Amsoil sells not only surpasses but also exceeds the requirements and specifications for use in our trucks. Now IMO if a person is leasing a car or truck or plans on not keeping it for longer then 4 years then they may not want to use high quality synthetic fluids as it my not be cost effective for them. I think they should use whatever inexpensive fluid meets the minimum requirements for their car or truck. Disclaimer: I don’t own stock in the Amsoil Corporation or Redline products, nor am I a dealer that sells these products to others. But I am a preferred Amsoil customer so that I can buy things for them at a discount.

you can buy it localy, however if you go on their website, pay the $20 to enroll on their prefered customer program you will get things at a discound, even shipping will come at a discount
when I bought 5 gallons of 75-90, 4 gal 15-40, and 5 quarts of 5-30mtf that extra $20 saved me almost $80, and another couple of bucks on shipping
