Default Rokktech Sensor

I'm thinking of installing the Rokktech sensor and their website states it won't void the warranty, can anyone confirm this and how? Also, I've seen posts with comments from people who have used the sensor and they state the instructions say "no cold idiling". What exactly does that mean? I live in Oceanside, CA which has about the most temperate weather in the county - a cold day is 60 and a hot day is 80. Is 60 considered cold?

Thanks.

I got it and get a mile more per gallon and I haven't noticed anymore noise at idle andit just returns to to the way to be .

So I'm waiting for someone to tell me why it's bad when it's cold and how cold are we talking.

I started a thead called Rokk timing sensor , you can read more there

the thing is with the engine cold and idling all the fuel is not burned, thus some of the fuel will 'stick' to the cylinder walls and cause premature wear. useing the high idle after a few min if very cold is a good thing, but at 60F, I wouldnt worry about a thing.

now voiding the warranty, it wont do, simply because you are taking a stock part, modifying it a bit, and putting it back in. adding 2 degrees of timeing in short makes the engine more thermodynamicaly efficient since you are injecting the fuel when there is higher compression, thus more fuel is burned and you need less fuel to make the same power. so your engine runs cooler, and gives you a bit more bottom end grunt.

I would have gotten one, however adding too much timeing is a bad thing, and running my TST with this would advance my timeing WAY too much.

Check the Cummins website.....

One of the things I remember reading when I was farting around it was that mods to the engine had to be done by either A - Dodge or B - a Cummins service center. One of the things that was specifically mentioned was that the mods could not change the timing.

Let me see if I can find it.

I LMAO when I see someone think 60 is COLD. I think that when they talk about long idling time in the Cold weather/temps they are referring to temps in the sub zero range and not the toasty T-shirt weather of 60 degrees above Zero.
