changing oil pan on 99 with no hoist
I'm trying to rebuild my truck & I just pulled t case & od unit& while Im waiting on a new od I need to pull my oil pan as it has a slight hole in it but Im having some issues.
First off I have a shop but can't get it in there now.I don't have a cherry picker so we undid the bolts & jacked it up by the pan with some 2x4s & then I slid a piece of 2x4 under the passengers side motor mount but the d/s is different & you can't get anything under it.Does anyone have sny suggestions?
It's up pretty high I think I just unbolt & let the deep end fall down&The front end go up some & then I just pull out the back? Someone said they just jacked up the body idk. Please any help I would surley appreciate it.

Gotta hoist the front of the engine about 3". Just attach chain & shackle to the front lift tab. Loosen motor mount bolts almost all the way but don't remove. With the front lifted you can get a 10 mm on all the bolts. Remove and let the pickup tube drop into the pan. Tilt pan towards back of truck and it'll slide right out...
