Default Axle swap

Trucks a 1997 ram 2500 2wd has a dana m80 3.55 rear axle I'd like to put a 4.10 axle in it with maybe 33s I do have a leveling kit but id like to know if I find a m80 with 4.10 gears will it bolt right up and will it throw off my speed0 with the new axle and larger tires if so how can I recalibrate the speedo

Good luck finding one. 3.55 was downright common, 4.10 was an option, that almost no one opted for..... Which seems kinda strange...... but anyway..... Might be cheaper/easier just to change the gears in the diff that's already under there. Unless you can find a rear with the gears you want pretty cheap......

Once everything is in place, (gears, and tires) the dealer should have charts to tell you what gear you need for the VSS.
