I am a little over 1000 miles on my 2005 RC, and i am feeling a little power increase but nothing to shout about. This thing is still slow, i think i am pulling about a 0-60 in about 8 or 9 seconds. Raced my 2005 Nissan frontier against it and it cleaned its clock. When i bought the car 3 weeks ago and complained on the test drive that this is the slowest 500 hp i have ever felt the dodge dealer checked it and said everything is fine and probably just needs to break in. And then said something about how the truck is not suppose to be floored but yet gradually applying gas. Either way its slow! I see everyone elses videos on here chirping tires and screaming down the road. Is this all in the stock pcm? Why would dodge make it this slow at the start and not make this widely known info. Please Help, do i need to take this to another dodge dealer or just throw in another pcm. Is the pcm where this problem all lies?

Any help please i am getting desperate. I shouldnt have to throw in a new pcm to get this truck to run what its suppose to run. I love everything else about the truck and i am going to keep it but i just need some help. When will this thing open up? I am adding a k&N cold air and a bb triflo exhaust this week but those arent going to fix what i am feeling.

First off, thats BS anout having to gradually applying the gas, you can smash it anytime you like

I would go to a local dyno, pay your $40-$60 and get a baseline pull before adding any mods. That way if there is anything wrong you can take it to Dodge and show them the dyno. As I mentioned before, stock these trucks dont wake up till 3800 rpms, so if you want get some good accelleration, keep it up in the higher rpms.

Now, your clutch could also be slipping. Ever smell anything after you get done driving the truck, check your levels ?

Also check under the truck for any areas coated with a thin layer of oil (rear main seal).

Is nothing with the clutch. It just feels that when you floor the gas, it feels like its almost flooding the engine. It feels dead. Granted i have felt some power increase over the past few days since i have driven it alot this weekend. So hoping that trend continues. Putting on my exhuast and cats on friday and a drop in kn intake on tuesday so that cant hurt either.
