Well its official we are going to pick up a SRT 10 ram. But the dealers don't know anything other than what they can look up in their car catalogs. But anyway I was wondering what does the Quad cab run and what does the standard cab run? Completely stock.

 

With slicks and a good launch a RC can hit a 12.9 The Quad Cab with slicks can pull off a 13.8-13.9

 

I will have to be the RC then, because I ran 13.80 @100 in my all stock 2000 lightning. And I need something faster.

 

You are going to be in the neighborhood of low 13s with a stock RC. The QC gets a BIG benefit from a PCM flash.

Transmission will also be an issue, all RC are manual, so if you want a auto you only have one choice, where as if you want a manual...

 

Well the Lightning's have huge potential for power. Just an intake, exhasut, pulley and tune you'll keep up with or beat a srt-10 RC.

 

What does not have potential? You could build a 4 banger to beat it. No different than I could build the Ram to beat a Vette. Everything has potential.

 

well I thought the RC was faster thats a little dissapointing that they only run low 13s because my friends 03 lightning just has a 14in. kandn cone filter and a 4lb pulley and he runs 13flat. I guess the SRT might just have to make a trip to Texas to see John Hennessey.

 

yuck, after i saw that 1000 RWHP srt10 hennessey did i decided if i ever buy an srt10 it will NEVER go there. Anyways, lightnings with a pully and a tune can get into the 12's and that's less that $500. Those trucks are pretty damn nice I think.

 

Well see the thing is the SRT-10 is a N/A engine and the lightning has a supercharger that is putting out 12psi I think with that 4lb pulley and intake and tune thats good for another like 40HP. And a RC SRT-10 with just exhaust, headers, intake, PCM flash, upgraded clutch and some sticky tires will run low to mid 12's all day.

 

What about the difference in displacement? You have to take that into account. Lightning 330 V8, Ram 505 V10.
