A blown head gasket will draw AF into the cylinder and burn it off. This problem usually causes wisps of white smoke (steam) out of the exhaust. Check the exhaust for white smokeafter the engine has been fully warmed up and driven for a few miles.
About $100 to fix it yourself or about $600 for a shop to do it. Driving with a blown headgasket is a time-bomb waiting to go off. There is no way to know when it will get to the point of being undrivable. If you keep a good supply of water and AF mix with you and make sure the level doesn't get too low, you'll have a 50/50 chance of making it. Babying it will increase your chances of making it, while beating on it will reduce your chances. Overheating is your biggest enemy right now, because even if you make it, an overheated engine can leave you with warped heads and an even larger repair bill.
Yesterday,I had the Dodge dealer, check AF problem, get cost for fixing.
They completed a pressure test on coolent systems, no problems found.no leaks.
No AF in oil, had oil change.
