I replaced the sensor that went to the gauge. single pin sensor. The double pin sensor was the one that was telling pcm that the engine was running cold. That made it dump more fuel into the engine at restart.Lol. Thank you for your time.I hope this will help others in the future......(The double sensor is a pain to get too) on the road again wha-hoo........
I'm glad I found your post on problem and fix, as it is what I was going through. Ready to sell or give away after replacing multiple sensors. It all started after AAMCO worked on it (4tranies) and still not right. But sure enough it was the TCS, $26 at O'Reilly's auto parts and back on the road.
Thanks, hope your problems are small.
Gary
Just so we don't confuse anyone, you meant the 2-wire CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor) correct?
The new vehicles maybe 2 wire, but mine is a single wire. At the store the first one they brought out was a 2 wire and looked just the same, but they changed it after I looked before buying. It's a little guy with 1/8" pipe thread. Interesting thing the hex size 15mm vice 12mm.
The one wire sensor shouldn't have anything to do with how the van runs.... It is used for the gauge in the dash, and that's it. PCM doesn't even know it exists.
