Transmission problems?
I drive a 1999 Dodge Ram B-1500 van. I recently stopped at an intersection, when I proceeded to drive my vehicle would not accelerate past 10 mph. It then began accelerating and decelerating, with a jerking and snagging kind of feeling. After a few mins it stopped moving altogether. It would not respond in drive or reverse. Me and a few friends had to push it in neutral into a parking lot, luckily we were going slightly down hill haha.
i think me and my girlfriend have the same problem. just drove from mass to florida then to austin . after fixing u joint in fl, drove here, now having problems getting round town. after heating up it wont respond to the gas pedel. and the engine is kinda shakey at that point. once we let it cool its fine but i didnt know if any of these simptoms sound familiar or if you found out the cause yet. lemme know buddy
My van did that twice with the previous owner. I asked about this problem and was directed to the fuel pump. If your fuel tanks are at or below 1/2 tank try filling it up and see how the van responds. If no more problem then your fuel pump is on its way out and is acting up when it gets hot.
If the problem is still there then you could try (WARNING: do not do this for more than a few minutes AND DO NOT drive it) taking out the O2 sensor before the cat when the van acts up and see if it behaves. If it runs better then change out the cat.

My 1996 B2500 MarkIII Conversion got real shaky feeling at times, even feeling like it was stalling at speed, if that's a concept...
Turned out to be the fuel pump, which rides up and down on a pair of rails, wasn't bad - just that it sat for so long with 1/2 tank of gas that corrosion got to it and when it got down to the corrosion it stuck there and started sucking air.
Food for thought?
