My van starts fine once i get the key to turn. The steering wheel is locked and i think it might be the locking mechanism that im having problems with. The wheel locks at the slightest touch after being turned off and the key turned back to where i have to push the lever to retrieve the key an when i put it back in an hold the lever it wont turn at all. Any ideas

The problem could be in the ignition switch assy. Or maybe the mechanism that locks the pin into the locking plate.
