Default Converting passenger van with windows to work van with no windows

I need to make my van a work van, no side or back windows.

I will buy the sliding door without a window, and the rear doors without a window.

I am left with two (back and front) long drivers side windows, and one long (back) passenger window.

One way I know to make it into a work van is to remove the windows, and weld in some metal. The is too much work, cost and is time consuming. Or just saws-all work van to cover my windows, and weld on. I cant weld.

The question I need answers on is, is there a way to make it look professional without putting wood over the window. Like does a company sell an insert, where I can remove the window and install the insert so the van looks like a delivery van, painters van, moving van etc. Just want it to blend in more then it is.

Why not leave the windows and simply install security screens over them?

Another thing that you can think of if money is a problem is removing the window, buy some sheet metal and rivet the sheet metal over the opening.

If you go this route, once you have the sheet metal cut to size, you can have your business painted on it prior to you putting it on the van. This is cheap and easy to do.

Money is a huge issue right now, as I have little. I usually find things I need pretty easy.

Sheet metal or thicker tin in place of window was what I was thinking.
Using the window rubber.

Painting a company name is a great idea, I thought about going to a sign maker getting them to make up a big sticker for the windows, but it is expensive. I still might go that way, if I can find a black sheet of sticker. Making the wall behind the seats is going to be easy.

Why do you have to remove the windows anyway?

Dont want to remove windows if I dont have to, just want it to look like a work van.

The curtain idea looks bad, already have it on mine, with layers of sheets behind it to keep prying eyes away from me sleeping in the back.

In that case, just spray paint the inside of the windows the outside color of the van (or black.) That way if you ever want to go back to having windows, you can simply scrape the paint off with a razor blade. Better yet, first stencil on a name and phone number in black from the inside, then spray white over it. From the outside it will look like a sign.

If you are attempting to make your van look like a Workvan just so you can urban boondock can be a double edged sword. Putting a business name on the Van can make it easily noticed and recognizable, and if is a fictitious business, it can ring alarm bells.

It's about black curtains in the tinted windows, pressed tight to the glass, or black painted cardboard, or black posterboard tight to the window.
