Yes, that's the ignition switch.

I'm having the same problem. I can't locate the part anywhere. Any suggestions? I also have the key on fob with nothing else.

If there isn't a NAPA near you, order it on-line from them.

Default Found new ign switch at PepBoys.$26, still have problem accessing it.

I just picked my ign switch for my van at PepBoys. It was $26.00 and is made by Borg Warner.

I tried to loosen the 2 screws on the bottom of the cover and had to buy a very long handle T-20 torx screwdriver. One of the screw is very deep and very tight. I removed the shallower depth screw with no problem. The deeper one was very tight and sounded like it cracked something when I was able to turn it. It didn't come out and I couldn't remove the covers.

I don't know if I have to pry anything loose or remove the tilt wheel ****. Any ideas?

I disconnected the battery while I was doing this just in case it would be an issue.

I replaced my ignition switch this past week and everything works beautifully. Even the brightness of the headlamps seem a little brighter that before. Thanks for all of your help. It was a little difficult with the tilt steering wheel not working. I couldn't tilt the wheel upwards.

I thought I could do an easy repair of the tilt problem. I couldn't see what was not working properly. I will have to make a new post.

I've got the same thing on my 2002 ram van 1500. When I jiggle the keys it goes away.....So, it's the switch, not the lock cylinder, right? Electrical parts can be hard to return, so I want to make sure it's not the cylinder. Mine is ready to go.

Will I have to take off the wheel?

Well, I ordered the switch and it should be in today. Napa $31 I've got the two screws holding the cover off, and just like yours, the deep screw was very tight. How do I get the cover off? Do I have to pry the top cover off of the bottom? I'm afraid of breaking it. 2002 Ram Van 1500 (conversion)
