A couple years ago my van died too. 5:30, rush hour, 4 lane highway in Chicago suburbs, sitting at a light. Had to push it from the turning lane up hill into a gas station while no one wanted to stop. (No one helped either) My back still hurts.
I replaced the coil and was back in business!
I thought for sure it was going to be the fuel pump, cause my neighbor says it's a common problem for Dodge vans. He already put 2 of them in his '95. I would test the coil if you have a volt meter, it's easy.
NO BUS means PCM failure, the PCM is not talking to the dash board. Match the PCM part numbers up correctly when replacing it. I don't have the page but RockAuto has the PCM's at a decent price.
I might have to start carrying a spare coil and pcm. I think it would be better to haul around 10 lbs of spare parts then to risk being stranded in the middle of nowhere one day.
You know if you start doing this that when something does go bad it will be something not in your spare stash. You know that, right?
