Default 1999 1500 Ram conversion 5.2L Check engine light problem

This van has only 57,000 miles and is in excellent condition in and out.
The first trouble code was PO720 output shaft speed sensor circuit.
Replaced sensor output 42RE/44RE code corrected this problem but a new code shows OD/TCC solenoid, dual was a new problem.
Replaced the OD/TCC solenoid dual because the transmission shop stated that since he was replacing this part it might be a good idea to replace the sensor governor pressure and the solenoid gov press 42RE/46RE while transmission was opened. After this was done, the check engine stayed on and the code still read the OD/TCC solenoid, dual was still a problem.
Sometimes the transmission only drives in third gear. Then, after the next time I get in the car the check engine light may still be on, but the transmission now shifts properly and the overdrive works properly as well.
Brought it back to the transmission shop due to the check engine light still staying on. When he drove the van with me in the car with the computer hooked up the readings were as they should be. Pressure for first and second gear matching. The next day I get in the van and the check engine light comes on again and the transmission is not shifting properly.
I take it back again to the transmission shop and he now thinks that there must be a short or a bad connection. He cleaned and tightened the male and female connectors on the computer. At that point the light stayed off for over a week. Tonight the check engine light is back on, the transmission is shifting properly and until I get the van to a computer to see for sure (but it seems to have always been the same problem) the code stating the OD/TCC solenoid, dual will still be the problem (this is my assumption since this is the third time the code has stated this after a repair).
Does it seem that the wiring should be replaced? Or could you give me any advice since I think this transmission man (after having a shop for 30 years) is having an awful hard time finding a solution to this reoccurring check engine light coming on. He is trying his best and I did not get any extra charges for this additional work he has been doing to solve the problem.

The tranny not shifting properly and feels like it's takes off in 3rd gear says it's in limp mode. Have your tranny man check the wiring harness connector on the drivers side above the pan to make sure it's seated properly. It may be somewhat loose and may explain the reason for the coming and going of the codes. Just a suggestion.

Sometimes the ground strap to the tranny can go bad or loose. Check that too.

Default New code read today - P-0753A

Thanks so much for your reply. Today I took the van back to the transmission shop, hooked it up to the computer and got a new code. It is P-0753A. The mechanic said that this was a code for a shift solenoid A electrical. He said he did not understand why the code came up with an "A" at the end of the code. He said that this van doesn't even have this part in the vehicle and was going to try to find out any information he could. Unfortunately, this is taking so much of his time I was hoping that someone else may have had this problem and have an answer or any information at all.
As it stands, he cleaned the firewall groundwire and retightened. Then he cleaned and retightened the groundstrap to the engine block. He then turned off the "check engine" light that was still on when I brought the van in and we are now waiting to see if the light comes back on as I drive the vehicle. This has been three weeks of trying to fix this "check engine" light problem and I am certainly hoping it will not come back on, but I have little faith at this point in time. I am so perplexed I don't know what else to do to help this situation. The owner of the transmission shop is really trying to work with me and said he remembers this code coming up previously with another customer's car but cannot remember what the solution was. Again, just looking for assistance anywhere I can to find answers! I like everything about this van and would like to keep it, but I have only owned Chevy vans prior to this van. This van gives me a nicer ride and the only other problem I have is the gas mileage is 8.5 mpg city driving. I have read articles that state other Dodge Ram van owners get up to as high as 18 mpg highway, but it was for a 2002 Dodge 1500 ram van. I get approximately 13 mpg highway. It sounds and runs perfect, and the transmission now shifts without any problem even when the "check engine" light came back on...but like I said the mechanic has turned this light off and we are waiting to see if it stays off this time without any more repairs. Thank you very much for your time and assistance in this matter. I reallly appreciate it!!!
Richard

OK, I've done some hunting. But first the most important question to see which direction to take.

Question. What tranny fluid was put into the 46RE? You have to be very truthful for the answer on this so we can help you on the next step.
