Hi, I just got a 1500, 2001... I found the wires for trailers.And I also know that theres is a special pulg to connect this thing..
This is my question, I dont want to use this especial plug, so I want to know how to just cut it off and connect my 4pins plug, I noticed that in the van the plug has like 10 pins, and 5 wires!, and they are on different color than my wiring which is yellow, brown, green and white..

I tried to connect and test each wire but guess now blew some fuses off ,cause my taillights and turn signals dont work..
Please any help, with the 2 different colors in each side....

Dude, you should have just bought the round connector that fits into the factory rear harness. Could have saved yourself a lot of PITA for $20.
