Default Stalling after start-up

Hi all.

The refurbishment of my van continues. I have an intermittent problem that I need to start looking in to. I did some searches, and think it could be the intake gasket, but I wanted to run it by you all anyway.

Once out of 10-15 starts, my van when put into drive acts like it has a stuck EGR vavle. It will stumble and even slightly backfire once. Then, either I floor it or turn it off and restart - it does fine and fine for the rest of the day. Most all of the times it has done this is after running it for a period of time. So usually the water temp is above 100.

The idle is good, sometimes great and sometimes minimually rough. I have done most all things you would do to a van with 114k on it.
Plugs - Wires- Rotor - Cap - O2 - Radiator flush - AC Comp/EVs/Dryer - Shocks - and a bunch of cosmetics things.

Does this van have an EGR valve? I didn't notice one when I had the dog house off, but I wasn't looking either. Also I read it doesn't have a fuel filter? Is thar correct?

I really like this van. It is my first Dodge. I know I have a few ?'s, any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Been battling the same thing for about a year on my '98. Did all tune-up stuff, changed most of the inexpensive sensors you could name & tested the more expensive ones to confirm their proper operation.

For a while I thought I had the problem solved by changing to an expensive set of Accel ignition wires but that was short lived. The ECM still throws random misfire codes at me. I'm getting ready to replace the ECM as I suspect one or more bad solder joints on the circuit board, which would be temperature related, which fits the profile of my problem.

Replace the 2-wire coolant temperature sensor next to the t-stat housing.

My 99 Ramwagon was stalling with no codes. It turned out to be a slow O2 sensor. I was in tampa bay 2 weeks ago, saw some interesting harmless snakes.

I changed 'em

There's a few around here, some are in my back yard, but I am not one of them

So I thought back of the things I have done.

I am thinking the coil I replaced is a POS. The metal induction ring (I think that is what it is called) that goes around the coil is rusted. It has only been on there a month. I also remembered when we had a large thunderstorm, I drove through it, and the van did the same behavior.
I am going to replace it tomorrow to see what happens. I havent had a problem in the past dozen starts, but still coils aren't supposed to rust...

Thanks

You failed to tell me how much of a PITA that thing is to get to

Changed the coil, TPS and temp. sender -- runs really good! It did try to stall for one second but that was it...I think it may actually be OK
