Yes, I have a similar set up weight dist and 5k airbags (15 pass) I have been very pleased towing with these vans.
This week I pulled a 25ft Pacemaker (boat 7500lbs + trailer) from Philly to Southern Massachusetts no issues very stable with the airbags and LT tires, I have pulled more weight over the past years again problems what so ever.
Do not worry have a great summer

does any one no what the tow weight is with these vans , I have a 5.9 3.55 gears , 127. wheel base it is a conversion ,van but not much to the conversion , just nice captain chairs and a fold down bed, no tv and all that . so there really no weight there, It has the factory tran cooler in the rad and a aux sandwhiched between the con and rad also , I have the od button on the dash. i found any where from 6800 to 8500 tow wieght that a large gap ,???

I pull two trailers"
12' light weight frame with a 4 dr sidekick on top
26' flat deck with 1 samurai and 1 4dr sidekick
I am looking into towing caps because on Monday I am due to pick up a 95 B2500 5.2 to convert into an RV/tow rig for wheeling trips and some occasional beach excursions....
Hope this helps,

Folks, ask can B vans tow long trailers and fairly heavy loads.
You should do a search in the van forum for towing.
We owned a 1988 B350 15 pass that towed a (8000lbs +) 29' Airstream from Massachusetts to South Padre Island and back a 5200 mile trip no problems.
We own a racing sailboat 10K +++ with gear and trailer we have pulled to Key West for race week with our 1996 15 pass B3500 the past 4 years 3500 miles again no problems. We have dually adapters and add the duallies for this trip.( I do not recommend exceeding tow cap as we do)
Also each Labor Day weekend we pull the camper to Quebec City ~2000 miles no problems.
This past week as said earlier picked up a 25 boat with trailer easy 8500lbs. No problems
When I say no problems I mean no sway no breakdowns to date.
Allow me to add in 2002 we purchased a Excursion diesel which sits in the garage and only use if we tow the sailboat to the west coast for a regatta as pulling through either the desert(south) or Rockies/ other high country(north) would be asking to much of the van.
B vans are fantastic to tow with.
Any questions feel free to PM me.

Towing
I have a 2002 Ram Van 5.2L towing a 25 ft camper; Dry weight is 4800lbs
All up weight ~ 5500lbs. I've towed all over the North-East with no real problems. I can cruise at 65 on flat ground all day long. The only place where it gets stressed is on trip to Upstate NY/Vermont where the inclines do take their toll and the cruising speed comes down - I'm sure if I thrashed the transmission - I could keep the speep upi but I'm relatively gentle on the transmission.
I get about 9-10 MPG when towing
