No air coming from my a/c vents
Hello. I have 97 Dodge B2500 6 cylinder. It has about 147000 miles on it, so I think it still has a lot of life left in it and I plan on driving it as long as I can.
I recently had the a/c compressor replaced, but there is very little air coming out of the dash vents. The rear vents work fine. Occasionally, it blows a little more, but not really. I can hear the fan blowing on the passenger side, but it's just not coming through the vents. I've read that the blend door is a common problem, but where do I find it, and what do I do with it when I do?

I bet the air is going up the windshield. The most common problem is the nylon vacuum line. On the passenger side look for a line with a check valve coming off of the middle part of the intake, it will go towards the front and split with one line going to behind the passanger headlamp to the vacuum bulb while the other goes up over the motor behind the PCM towards the drivers side. On that line you may want to buy some new rubber hose that the plastic line will go into and buy a long enough length to go from the tee to the point where it almost goes through the firewall. These lines crack over time from the heat under the hood and most times it is the black line from the manifold that does.

It is, I did a short piece on the passenger side of my van 4 years ago and just a few weeks ago had to finnish replacing the entire length. That is why I recommened replacing the whole length and be done with it. You can do this in less than 5 minutes.
Hi. I'm not seeing where that is, I don't see any cracked pieces.
Also, I checked the heat this morning and I get zero air coming out of the heat, not even a whisper. However, there is plenty of air coming out of the defrost.

OK, look for the vacuum bulb behind the passenger side headlamp and follow that hose to where it splits and on that nylon line replace the entire length of it. It is amazing how hard it is to see any cracks in that line unless you flex it around a bit. Since your air is blowing up the windshieild then you definitly have a vacuum leak problem.
Ok, looking again. What does a vacuum bulb look like and what diameter is the nylon line?
