Hi all. I had a problem recently with my van. Running rough, stalling, etc. Did the key dance and it said, map sensor and egr valve. So I replaced them both with new of course..and well still says.. map sensor and egr valve..and once again back to stalling or quitting when I stop at lights, etc..what the ????

The map sensor code does not mean the map sensor is bad, it means the map sensor, which senses vacuum, is sending a signal back the the engine computer out of normal range, which happens when the engine is running very poorly and stumbling.
The computer does not know if the egr valve itself is bad, only that the egr solenoid is bad.
Check all your vaccuum lines, especially those leading to the three solenoids on the passenger side valve cover.
