97 ramvan 2500, ABS light on, no ABS equipped
So ABS light is on in my 1997 ram van 2500 conversion. First I used an ABS scanner, it did not register anything for ABS. Then I forced it to pull ABS and it responded no ABS module found. So I looked at the original window sticker and there is no ABS listed. I looked in fuse block under hood and all 3 ABS fuse/relays are empty. I have never dealt with ABS before, and dont know what else to look for but my opinion is that there is no ABS on this van. In that case why would my ABS light be ON?
My suspicions would be that either the instrument cluster was replaced with one from a van with ABS, your ABS was removed by a previous owner, or there's a short in the cluster. If your van never has ABS then there shouldn't even be a bulb installed for the ABS.
97 Dodge Ram Van's had RWAL ABS from the factory, 4 wheel ABS was optional. Remove your glove box insert and look below it on the HAVC box for a module.
Here is the code list:

Ground pin 13 for a second or two of the OBD-II diagnostic connector with the key in the on position and watch the ABS light flash for the codes. Long flashs are the first of the code and the short flashes are the second part of the code.

Update: So I bought a service manual, and able to determine for sure its the reset switch. so here is where I need help. no where can i find a part number for the rwal hydrualic valve, the only numbers i see on the valve are 2776bc which yields no results. the only thing the auto shops have under abs is a part number 12-2034(some sites say this is for 4 wheel abs only). And they list it under O.E.M. Number:52007310. Now this link http://starparts.chrysler.com/starli...man/Brakes.pdf has that part number as a master cylinder. the picture under rwal and swal valve assemblies is what i need. Now I have no idea what swal is, So what i need to know is if anyone knows what part number i need or can help me figure it out.

Did you look in the factory service manual you bought? Most list OEM part numbers in them.
