After a few miles of driving it acts like the ignition cuts off and on faster than you can turn it off and on. It's a pretty hard jerking not just dropping a cylinder. It has a new fuel pump, coil, cap wires and rotor. I have also replaced the crank and cam sensors. This is driving me nuts. Any ideas ? This is a 1996 Ram Van 318.

Think these mid 90's vans need to see the Pope ! I've replaced all that an then some .Starts some days some not ,runs 5min. then dies , at time 20min. then dies ???
My 2000 Ram Van, 5.2 was acting squirrely. Replaced plugs, wires distrib cap, rotor, coil and no improvement. I was getting ready to check fuel pressure thinking it was the fuel pump. My upstream NTK oxygen sensor came in the mail so I replaced it. Took it for a ride and it goes like a new van. Keeping fingers crossed! A little over 100,000 mile on the van. FYI
How can you be sure it's the voltage reg. in PCM ? I've replaced every thing but the PCM /coolant sensor/ and MAP sensor..Some times starts an runs at times won't just turns over great ?

Is your OBD I or II?
If it is II then if you have this code stored - it is your PCM
