Default Quick fix for some electrical problems

I have now owned my '01 B2500 for almost 3 years. I have read this forum's posts for almost as long. One common thread through many of these posts is bad electrical grounds... from body grounding to windshield wiper motors. The first thing I did with my van was inspect and tighten every electrical ground that I could find. I even added a new ground strap from NEG battery to chassis. So far so good... knock on wood! https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/...icon_steer.gif

One helper product that I have been using for a number of years to help with all kinds of electrical problems is DeOxit Spray cleaner from Caig Labs.

This spray cleaner goes a step or two further than other common contact cleaners, and it protects sensitive electrical contacts after it cleans. There are several varieties to choose from. All of them work well.

I highly recommend this product be put into your toolbox and used liberally on anything with electrical contacts in the harsh outdoor environments that our vans are subject to. I purchase my supplies from MCM Electronics online at www.mcmelectronics.com OR

I hope this helps someone.

For electrical I use CRC' QD Electric Cleaner.

The best grease is their Marine grade.
