Default still chasing the airbag light

SOLVED see last post

Hi all..

I have narrowed down my airbag light issue to wiring or grounding.

here in the pic below shows the ground for the airbag control module G200

I am having a little issue finding this ground...can anyone help explain where exactly this is??? Thanks

That G200 is on the firewall roughly above the PCM.

Oops, sorry just took a closer look. The image above and below seem to go together. The upper image looks like the inside of the dash where the instrument cluster goes. That circular thing at the upper right is likely the driver's speaker, and the thing behind the big M is the defroster vent. There is probably a metal bar across the top that both G200 and G201 are screwed into. They'll be hard to see because of the wire harness running under them.

holy cow!

I think I have the orientation now.
If I was in the van and in the ML picture, you would be seeing my knees and feet.

In the blow up picture, the windshield would be right above that. Or is it a few inches back from that point

I am trying to figure out why when I take a right, that my airbag light goes on briefly and then returns to normal.
The error is passenger seat belt short/ground.

Does it still do it if you connect the passenger seat belt as if someone was sitting there?

Actually it's an upward angle. If you were sitting in the driver's seat we'd be looking up your dress...so to speak.

Well, I haven't tried that. It will come on with my wife in the front seat, belted too.

I have thrown every part at it. Ive tried a used, compatible Airbag module, replaced the clock spring twice, and install a new seat belt - still get the same error within the same conditions. I pulled the wire our and checked for continuity and its good.

Super freakin weird.

I FOUND IT!!!!

The wire that runs from the seatbelt up the b-pillar was chaffed at the top corner of the b-pillar and the door frame. There was a teeny tiny cut in the conduit and you could see copper shining. I can see how this happened now. It was from the years of flex and being on the edge of sheet metal top. I taped it up, pulled it out a little so it wouldnt ride on that part of the wire anymore - and walllah -- no light
